Asana Yoga Studio Marseille is proud to host Nick and Chester from Aim Yoga during their Forrest Yoga Europeen Tour 2018! Nick and Chester are the founders of Aim Yoga in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and they give workshops and trainings all over Asia. Trained by both Ana Forrest in Forrest Yoga and Jambo Truong in Bodywork, this dynamic duo are not to be missed! Nick and Chester have a natural ability to bring groups together and create an amazing synergy. Their fun and playful energy make everyone feel at home no matter what level of practice or age. Come and play!
What Nick & Chester have to say: Forrest Yoga workshops do not require strength or flexibility, they only require a willingness to learn how to feel authentically and respond honestly. Our morning starts with Yoga ceremonies with drumming & smudge ceremony, calling of the 4 directions to cleanse any negative vibes. You will be guided to set the intent for your yoga practice, chant to quiet the chatty mind, and dance to quicken your blood.
These all-level workshops begin with a short introduction of principles of Forrest Yoga. We begin the practice with intelligent sequencing with a slow juicy warm up to connect to tweaky areas on your body feeling the muscles and fascias (connective tissues). We then continue with hot part with healing asana practice and finish off with a partnered bodywork session for each other.
Please arrive 15 minutes early to assure that you have time to set-up and be on your mat at 10am. Bring your own mat if you have one and an extra beach towel or folded yoga mat into a roll. We will provide blocks and straps. Please shower after the morning session. We will have a lunch break between 12:30pm-2pm with a short Q&A session after the lunch break. Please plan on staying until 4:30pm and perhaps 10-15 minutes later if needbe.
Saturday, Oct.6th ~ DAY 1 Workshop : ‘Longevity’ (10:00am-12:30pm | 2:00pm-4:30pm)
The intent for this therapeutic backbend workshop is on connecting to the Yoga practice with kindness. Using the intelligent sequencing of Forrest Yoga, called synaptic bridging, you will learn regulate your breathing to decompress your spine & muscles of your back. Discover how to bring enthusiasm and aliveness onto your entire back muscles of your soles of your feet to the top of the head. Feel extra ordinary taller, longer and leaving feeling ready to walk with confidence.
Sunday, Oct.7th ~ DAY 2 Workshop : ‘Possibilities’ (10:00am-12:30pm | 2:00pm-4:30pm)
What if you made pleasure & ecstasy a part of your daily practice? How would that enrich & change the quality of your life? Clearing stubbornness and numbness are the first steps to owning and celebrating your pleasure. Explore hip openers with fun inversions, standing pose series with hip openers poses, pigeon variations and hammock pose. Learn how to stay connected and track your feelings and sensations. This workshop offers you to play and enjoy the sacred connection and is also good, sweaty fun! You will be intrigued by how you can bring passion and aliveness into your whole being. We will be teaching our body how to respond authentically to new growth and wonderful sensations.
